It's September! While there might be a "let's get on with it" attitude in the air, is that really necessary? Aren't we already dealing with enough stress in our lives? Instead, why not try a "let's be kind" attitude?
What do you do to show kindness to yourself? Is it good food, time in nature, being with friends, or practicing yoga?
I believe that every time you show up on your yoga mat, it's an act of kindness
towards yourself. It doesn’t matter how your body feels or what mood you're in—by showing up, you’re opening yourself up to the possibility of a deeper connection with yourself, with others, and with the world. Yoga creates space in both the body and mind, allowing for a more expansive way of being—and it all happens "one breath at a time".
My intention is for all my classes to be inclusive, trauma-sensitive, and accessible to all, while also being friendly and playful. Classes include:
🌼 Arrival meditation to help settle into the space.
🌼 Gentle movements to release tension and create a sense of spaciousness and calm in body and mind.
🌼 Breathwork, including pranayama practices, sound, and mantra, to deepen your connection of mind/body/heart to be more present.
🌼 Restorative postures that allow you to sink into comfort and stillness.
Book through my website, About Balance, or just turn up!!
"Tammy holds the most wonderful yoga sessions. - luckily I came across her "yoga for stress" class. Her classes allowed me to completely reset - she approached the practice through her warm and calm demeanour, taking us through gentle poses and breathing exercises, while she made use of sound and soothing themes for each class. Tammy's classes were something I came to truly look forward to every week - they're genuinely blissful and I felt she carved a space for people to feel incredibly comfortable to relax and release. Can't recommend Tammy highly enough! A lovely soul and a truly special yoga teacher."
